Is nursing a good job?

Yes it is

nursing is a greta job as long as you can handle the nasty parts of life. at some point you will have to clean up someone's urine or feces and vomit...blood, people not looking their best at all! and you personally will be cleaning this up.... that's why i give my mom and sister kudos for being nurses! now, as for schooling....if you want to be an LPN, then only about 2 years. RN, about 4 years and you can become an RN with a bachelor's of science which makes you even more marketable! my mom went to a nursing school and has been a nurse for many many years. she probably averages $20+/hr. she is an RN at a small local hospital in my hometown. now, she didn't start off making that, though....she's been there for many years. my sister graduated from a 4-year school with her RN and bachelor's of science. she had some problems at first when she moved to NC getting a job..it took a few months, but she started off at 2 nursing homes and now she's a manager at a large medical center. she's making very good money. so, basically, it's all about what you want to put into it and what you want out of it. nursing in general is a great career field, but it's not for everyone and my sister's schooling was a very tough program. many people failed out. so, it takes a lot of dedication! i wish you luck in whatever you want to do!

of corse its a great job you get lots of money just for examing, its a pretty easy job ........(sometimes) :)

the actual requirment to be an RN is 2 year certificate, but it really takes 3 years, and if you want to get your masters , you would need to go to a 4 year school anyway... starting pay is about 20 dollars an hour in most places with good benefits packages... personally, i love it, its alot of hard work, but its a great career to have, i hope that helps )

It pays well and there is good chance for advancement. The prereqs take a couple of years for most people and the actual program for RN is 4 sems. My sis makes $50K-$60K as a case manager. She started as a med/surg nurse. My brother makes $100K or so as a critical care nurse working registry. Yes, it is a good job and in demand. The work can be very hard though and stressful.

as a beginner u make $17-20/hr. and add furthr education you can make upto $60,000 or higher depending on u.sounds good. u can start with asociate degree.

Yes, nurses to make good money because there is a nursing shortage in the medical field right now. It is a job that will always be in demand. You will work for you money, but if you enjoy helping people and seeing people get better, then it can be a wonderful job. The schooling can go from a basic nusing course of a year or two to nurse practitioner which is still less schooling than a doctor.

it does not require a 4 yr degree. in order to be a LPN it is 1yr, RN 2 yrs, the more college the better. yes they make decent money.
