Can i quit my job and still get my disability after?

How does someone get Disability, if they can't afford to quit their job in order to file it, and it takes 1 yr

If you still able to work, why thinking of filing for disability? Why not think of how to lead a normal life.

Have you ever thought of filing for PARTIAL disability. You are still managing to work now. That means that you SHOULD be working. But the situation is made hard by your partial disability. Yet, you say that your employer doesn't have short term disability, which means that your disability is expected to only last a little while. You can't really expect the taxpayers to PAY you to take time off that you really don't need? If this isn't the case. If you are expected to be disabled permanently, then maybe you should have been clearer in your question. As it stands, my original suggestion still qualifies...Have you thought of applying for partial disability?
