They never said for sure when it starts, but there is a "Pretty Little Liars: Halloween Special" coming out October 19th that is like a prequel episode about how all this "A" stuff started and how Allison was actually targeted by "A" first, not Spencer, Emily, Aria, and Hanna before she died.
