What is a good thing to help with vomitting and nausea? Does Tums or Rolaids work?

Ginger is good at supressing nausea. Try giving them something with ginger in it.

Our pediatrician recommended drinking the syrup from a can of peaches or pears. It seems to work for us.

sip on some sprite or 7up. also if you really cant find anything try deep breathing.take a deep breath and hold it for a second then let it out slowly.just keep repeating it for a few minutes, but it doesnt always work. that works for me when i get like like that, which used to happen often in school.

See if the stomach acids will neutralize with some saltine crackers. When my baby gets a tummy ache, I'll give him peppermint water, and I myself drink Ginger Ale.

Don't give them anything by mouth except maybe sips of water or preferably nothing. You can give them ice chips but tell them not to swallow. If they have a temperature you may need to take them to the ER. If they don't it could just be food poisoning, and there really isn't anything you can do for that. The main thing is to make sure they don't become dehydrated. Watch their tongues and the inside of their mouths. If the mouth looks really dry or if the tongue turns black you need to take them to the ER for medical treatment. However the sooner you can get them to the ER the better. There are tests that need to be run to determine if the problem is viral, bacterial or other. Hope this helps.

Any Gravol. No, I do not believe Tums or Rolaids will help if such is either the flu or food poisoning.If no Gravol, try tea ( green tea preferential) and have them try to drink light fluids of water or juice.

Anything with peppermint will help, if they can keep it down. Mylanta? ENO's is good for settling the stomach when it is empty. Or just water, or leave them alone.

Something carbonated. Coke if you have it since cola syrup is used to help nausea. If no coke, try sprite or ginger ale. Tums or rolaids will not help much, but they can't really hurt either. Give it a shot. Do you have Alka Seltzer? I would call the pediatricians office to see if they want to see her. (Or take her to the ER) you cant force your husband to go to the doctor, but you are her mother. Load her in the car with a plastic bag to catch the puke and get rolling to the doctor if they want you to bring her in. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly and try not to catch it!
