Can i get my stitches out early?

    Better to wait. Remember that the knuckle is a part of your hand and in an area where there is a lot of open and close motion and I assume right across where you got the stitches. Even in areas where there is not a lot of motion such as arms and legs, stitches need to stay in for a week to 10 days to make sure that the deeper tissues have had a chance to heal. Removing what sounds like the real "holding" stitch so early will guarantee that the wound will open and then you will have to either get it restitched or if they feel it has been to long to do so, then heal it in as an open wound. Better to wait it out and remove that stitch at 10-14 days to allow for solid healing in an area that sees a lot of action. In the meantime, applying a thin layer of antibiotic ointment across the suture line twice a day will actually help it heal a little faster.

You can however it would be better if you dont. Your body knows when your healed and also depends on the type of stitches, if its the dissolving one than its better to leave them as you could interfear with something which will have a huge effect in later life. I have dissolveable stitches on my lip and im waiting till they come off. Never rush your body into doing stuff
