Can someone be allergic to peanut butter but not peanuts?

Im allergic to peanuts but i can eat peanut butter. Can someone explain this?

    Actually, peanut butter is more saturated than peanuts themselves. They do, however, contain a large percentage of the actual nut. Your tolerance of peanuts might actually go to a certain point, where you can eat stuff that isn't absolutely peanut free. But if you are allergic to peanuts, you really shouldn't eat peanut butter, not even in small quantities. It will amount over time, causing a psychological and bodily rejection when you least expect it. Eating things that your mind and body will reject is especially dangerous. One day, you might even place a tiny drop of peanut butter on your toungue, and you'll break out in a rash, and your throat will instantly begin to close up, like a clenching fist, depriving you the ability to eat or breathe, much like choking. It isn't a great feeling, believe me. Once you get to this point, there's no taking it back. I hope I answered your question, and I hope it didn't scare you. You should see a doctor before jumping to any conclusions. ;)
