What is the best treatment for severe Tinnitus? (ringing of the ear?

I have "Tinnitus" - a ringing in the ear...Does anyone out there know of a cure... or a very good treatment

Tinnitus may be caused by ear infections or over-medicating yourself, but it is also the first warning sign of hearing loss. Go see a doctor then get your hearing checked.

Sorry to tell you this...Tinitus is not cureable...(unless it is caused by a medicine you might be taking---then when the medicine is out of your system, it MIGHT go away) My husband has had this problem for many years, and has seen many doctors. There is no cure for tinitus unless it is caused by medicine.
