How do I treat a blood blister?

I have had a blood blister on the tip of my finger for almost 2 weeks now. How do I get treat/get rid of it?

Old school... Heat a needle till it changes color then dip it in alcohol, and pierce it. It shouldn't hurt the skin should be numb from the blister...

sterilizing a needle and lance the blister. They usually go away after awhile though

Leave it alone. It will go away. If you see any signs of infection, go to the nearest hospital where they will amputate your hand.

Well if popping it is not an option I would suggest putting it under cold water for awhile and washing it frequently.
