How do people look in the eyes of their colleagues, family after participating in shows like Jerry Springer?

Anyone who would appear on any of the shows with reputations of having major drama, without being dragged on there, kicking and screaming, have no sense of pride in themselves. It's more important to them to be able to say "I was on...", so in my book, they deserve any misery they get afterwards.

I dare say they go out shopping, spending the money they got for appearing on the show. I'm also pretty sure most of Springers guest aren't genuine people anyway. I actually knew a couple that appeared on a similar UK chat show, on the subject of alcoholism. They just went back to the way they always were, before eventually seperating.
