its real but they do exagerate and make the story a bit more exciting, a girl i went to school was on the show and the story was true, they just had them fight more and stuff and antagonized them and p"ed them off to get them to fight

Staged and I wish all the tv's would shut automatically when someone turned that show on so his ratings would fall and he would come off the air!

It's kind of confusing. I've been behind the scenes of the show and the people they bring on have genuine problems (unless they're faking them to get on tv) to the producers knowledge. There's no scripts, but sometimes they'll refilm things or ask for people to act a certain way. So they're real people who have usually have genuine problems, but some of how it plays out is staged (usually they try it for real at first if they can get it).

I think it is staged. There just can't be that many trashy people in our country.

It's fake. My brother's friend went to be in the audience and a producer asked him if he wanted to be on the show -- and he's a normal person. Phony baloney.

I think it must be staged. Just like the Steve Wilkes show. How would go on a show like, knowing you were guilty of something like molesting a 4 year old, and go on it to willingly take a lie detector test?
