    i am a us citizen, my husband is algerian, my children are both, they have 2 passports. when we go to algeria they use US passport to get out of the US, and to get into Morocco (that is the way we go) then we switch to the Algerian passport to get into and out of algeria. there is no need to get any visa's this way! good luck ,have fun in algeria &congrats on becoming a US citizen!

You basically have two options : 1) Get a visa and only use your US passport 2) Use two passports ; the US one and the algerian one. In this case you wouldn't need a visa since you would be entering your country with the passport specific to Algeria... Have a nice trip :)
