Can I become a doctor with a learning disability?

    you haven't told me what kind of learning disability you have: dyslexia, ADHD...what? You can become a physician if you want to and work your butt off. I am a physician, now retired because of incurable disease. It was worth all the work and sleepless days and nights. I was a trauma surgeon and spent 2 years in Iraq. I did something of importance, which is what a physician is trained to do, even dermatologists. Good luck. Be ready to remember an incredible amount of information, go without sleep for 36 hours and be alert always.

Even if you get the degree, licensing, etc.; people may ask (or wonder) "Why can't he fix himself?". The ideal doctor is kindly and old, but looks young and healthy. People think he really knows how to take care of a body because he looks 20, but can prove that he is 60.
