Well then what is the point of buying one? Where I live in San Diego you can rent a surfboard for a half-day for only $15!

By the beach they usually have places to rent boards. You should rent one while your there. Don't buy a cheap board because cheap= sucky.

haha get a second hand one... i got one that was second hand..had been surfed like twice.. so it was pretty much brand new and it only cost me a few hundred
