    In my opinion acopa is the best, longest lasting brand. evolve is good too, then maybe 5-10. I Think any shoe company that seriously decides to make a "traction pattern" on the bottom of the shoe is just trash. the shoe rubber should be smooth, and acopa has lasted way longer on those sharp crystals than any 510 shoe. be careful about other brands, my friends and I have found one wrong route to destroy them.. Acopa will last 2 years if its just indoor, maybe even much longer. Then just resole them. I only buy at REI anyways cuz I can return them if they don't last as long as I expect them too.

I`ve owned 5.10 spire`s for 8 years and finally got a new pair of shoes- 5.10 Anasazi`s. Depends how good your foot work is, if you`re the one to slam you toes against the wall searching the hold to stand on you`ll blow the toe out of your shoes in no time. I`ve never treated climbing shoes nor have i ever heard of anyone treating their climbing shoes with anything. They`re shoes, depending on the rubber and how soft/sticky it is will determine how long the rubber will last. In a gym shoes should last you years.
