Good Camping places in California?

Not knowing what town you'll be coming from an how far yer willin to drive I can only recommend some spots near me. If your willin to hike in a bit the west fork San Gabriel river has some nice private spots along its banks for swimming and fishing you can actually ride a bike up the trail and tow yer gear on a bike trailer to the spot and many do. Plumas County. More specifically-- Looking near the town of Belden. Crowds are not bad, fishing is great! A great place to get away from the city and enjoy nature. There is a campground with public showers called Caribou Crossroads. Have fun!
