Where are places to get good looking hiking/camping gear?

As I've said many times before, there's no point me suggesting a shop or company when you could live in a different country or even a continent to it. how about telling us where you want to shop?

REI, Big 5 sports, sports authority, Dick's sporting goods, are great places to get hiking gear. Local stores close to where you hike might also have good choices.

well without knowing where you are. I would suggest looking up online outdoors equipment stores. If you have an REI available they would be a great place to start and to get some advice. As far as cute clothes there are tons to choose from but make sure nothing is cotton. Cotton does not wick away moisture and does not dry quickly when wet. Which can lead to chaffing as well as hypothermia if your wet and its cool. Clothes you can definitely find online at campmor.com as well as just about everything else. I do not recommend buying backpacks or boots online because it is so important that those two items fit you perfectly if they don't you'll be in big trouble.

picking gear based on looks can literally result in death , i dont know where you plan to do your outing but good quality equipment trumps "cute" any day , you need items that will 1. meet your needs 2. perform more than 1 function also i dont care if its a day trip pack a survival kit , to include shelter materials,multiple means of fire starter, siginaling devices and a knife, at a bare minimum this is a weak survival kit but it has all the items you need, also a good gps with spare batterys and knoledge of how to use it is an asset . carry a pack with clothing items for the worst possible weather in your area , weather is an unforgiving mistress and can turn at the drop of a hat , basicly be ready to ride out any misfortune when entering the woods . u can pick up ok gear almost anyware wallmart. your local sporting goods store , the internet ,
