How to start motocross?

How to start motocross?

  • I am 14 and live in New Zealand. I really want to start riding a motorbike / motocross Where do I start?

  • Answer:

hey there I also live in new zealand. The way that i started was asking round at school and seeing if any one knew where the tracks are in your area. another way to find out is by going on to the motocross new zealand site e.g the mnz and finding out all the information you require. also just by typing into google your town and mx tracks in the area can bring up the tracks. You can also get hold of the nearest motorbike shop and ask them they do usually know. If your also looking for you first bike i would suggest a kx 85 they are really easy to ride and have a good power out put trust me its what i started on. and a good tip also if you have to buy all the gear yourself is to buy the helmet, boots, pants and top first cause thats the requirements for most tracks after that you will need gloves, a roost protector and the knee pads. Also when you first start riding on the tracks make sure you go to a couple of club days before you race on the track just so your not completely out of your comfort zone and mostly have fun!! hope this helps =]
