yea u need to downgrade your firmware version. i had the same problem urs is probably 3.90 or something like that, u can visit this website http://topproductreview.net/Psp-Downloads/PSPDownloads.html they have tutorials for every firmware available to downgrade to 1.5 after downgrading they have unlimited collection of psp games and psp movies, videos ect they also have psx games
