Does Sims 3 Have SecuROM?

I am a HUGE The Sims Fan. and i was wondering what this whole "Securom" stuff is. ?

  When I first saw your question, I clicked on it thinking I would give you a link to the site you already looked at. Well, I personally won't buy any of the games that have Securom on them as I have already known people who had problems with their computer due to Securom. There are lots of things to read on that site, so if what you read on there doesn't answer your question, I don't really see how we could. I can say though that the most common error people get when trying to play a game that has Securom on it is the error where a box pops up stating something to the effect of: Emulation software detected, please insert original disk OR No disk detected at all Even though they have a legally purchased game and are using the disk from that game to try to play. But Securom has caused many other problems with people's computers besides just that problem, such as turning off any/all software that lets you burn to a cd or a zip drive. A lot of people only use this type of software to be able do their homework at home on their computer and then take it to school or to be able to put their family photo albums onto a disk, etc. Not everyone who burns things is a criminal, yet EA/Securom treats everyone as though they are criminals. Unfortunately, even the older games that used Safedisk instead of Securom are now showing up in stores with Securom instead. Apparently, when EA needs to produce more of these older game disks so the stores have enough to sell, they have re-done them to include Securom. So, unless people can get their hands on older copies of them, they are still going to end up with Securom on their computer. There are ways to work around this though, even if you do legally buy the games.
