I went to Best Buy about a year ago and bought the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 for about $30-40. It has worked great and lets me play games at the same level as people with Turtle Beaches. Of course, if you want the full quality of Turtle Beaches, then buy them. They will be much more expensive, though.
