i have 3.3 firmware myself and i recommend you keep it. YOU CAN NOT PLAY BACK UP OR USE DOWNGRADE SOFTWARE ON YOUR SD. THE WII USES ELF FILES FOR YOUR FIRMWARE SO DO NOT UPGRADE. Good luck for playing back ups.
