Wii points? how do you get them? what do they do? and teh wii fit interent channel??

Get them off the Wii Shop Channel where you purchase Points and then Different channels or Games, Alternatively you can purchase them at a game store that supplies Nintendo Wiis

well, wii points are something you buy that have a cash value. but are only worth something on the wii shop channel. with them, you can buy games(old and new), from multiple platforms. or you can also buy channels. most of them are free, but internet channel is not to buy them there are 2 was to do this: 1)go to a major retailer(walmart, target, etc.) and buy a wii point cards(2000 wii points are 25$) then, take it home and go to the wii shopp channel. once at the menu, go to buy wii points. click the wii point card options, and follow the instructions. 2) go to the wii shop directly with a credit(or debit) card out, then go to where you get the wii points, and there is an option to buy points with just a credit card. go to there and follow the instructions given. to get the internet channel, you have to buy it. it costs 500 wii points(5$) every 100 wiipoints is 1$. have fun with your wii!

Well first of all- wii points can be bought at a game store for £10 at least.... You use them to buy built-on games, channels all sorts of things including the internet channel..... but you need to have a wire less connector (LAN) if you do just follow these steps. If you don't buy one. First go to GAME and buy 500 wii points (£5) or you can get free points and just buy 100 to make 500. Then log on to www.nintendo-europe.com. Make an account- you need your wii's serial number thing. Then once everything is cleared off, go to your wii and connect it to the internet by choosing settings- and so on. This will connect your wii to the internet and may take a few moments depending on how far away your LAN connector is. Once everyting there is done- choose shopping channel- it will ask you to type in your email address and password which you registered before on the computer. Now that will link and you will be able to start shopping! (finally!! lol) now choose redeem points and click-in the code on your wii gift card you bought before or you can buy some using your credit card. then choose channels and then internet cahnnel and download. in order to use the internet channel you need to have wireless internet or the landline adapter. You buy wii points from a store that are on a card they sell, the minimum amount in the store you can buy is 2000 wii points which is $20.00. If you buy over the wii internet itself like I did you can buy a minimum amount of 1000 wii points, just be carefull because they do charge a sales tax even for buying online because its a downloadable software. wii points can be used to buy things over the wii shop channel. The internet channel is 500 wii points, NES games are 500 points, SNES games are 800 points, N64 games are 1000 wii points, and wii ware games have varying prices. But you will need either a game cube controller or a classic controller for playing everything other than NES games that I mentioned

connect your wii up if you have a newish wii you have to buy the internet channel. points are used to buy channels, games, ect ect, from nintendo like the old mario games you can get them buy registering products or in a game shop 2000 for £15. a channel is 200 and a game 500 its worth it. have fun:)
