How do I connect internet to my Wii?

I have a wireless internet thingy and it wont connect when when i try connecting it!!!! Do I need to buy something to connect it? And explain how to connect it, and do it so someone ...show more

It all depends on what you bought. If you bought a "Nintendo® Wi-Fi USB Connector" then a possible reason could be a firewall if you have one. Because everything needed is installed either with the disk that came with it, or Via the download link from Nintendo®. I really do advise you to upgrade your program only with the approved upgrade from Nintendo®. If it's a Wireless Router, then you will have to open "ports" to allow your Wii access to it. Which ports though, I'm not to sure as I have the Nintendo® Wi-Fi USB Connector. Your best bet might be to just Google it. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.
