How is it possible that the Xbox 360 is outselling the Playstation 3?

It is because some people could not wait until the next generation to buy a next generation console so they bought one that was a little bit more advanced [the 360] because it was available earlier. Now the PS3 is out and all the good 360 games have come and gone and crack have started to show with disc scratching and RROD. So all the Xbots dont want to admit fault because thats what the kind of peole that couldn't wait do. And now th next generation is actually here people have become interested and they ask around which is best. But because people allready got 360s they all claim its the best. And all the people see of the PS3 is the big price tag. They don't see how its got better hardware and upcoming games. But remember PS2 is still outselling 360.

360 isn't as good as the ps3 its just it had an xtra year to sell cya:)

Yep i know what you meen ps3 is catching up the 360. The only reason that the 360 has total overall unit sales is because it got about a one year headstart in the consle wars. (360 came out in 05 and ps3 came out in 06). Also some of the reasons that people only buy the 360 is because of 2 games halo and gears of war. But the reason i think that so many people are coming over the ps3 are these reasons) ps3 has a built in blu-ray player which has won the format wars over the 360's add on HD player. ($200) ps3 has a bigger HDD to store games and all the other media you have ps3 can store video and music. You also have a free web browser to go on yahoo answers or even YOUTUBE! ALSO the 360 has a 33% hardware failure this is called the red rings of death. While the ps3 has less than a percent. So many people have gone over to the ps3 because of this THE NUMBER 1 reason i bought a ps3 was because of FREE ONLINE PLAY! i refuse to pay to play. Its a dumb idea and the 360 does not even have wi-fi so you have to have an ethernet connection

It depends on the region, naturally the 360 will do well in the USA but in Japan its barely selling at all, I think world wide PS3 and 360 are just about even in terms of monthly sales.

Its outselling because of the games. There are a ton of games for the 360...I mean a lot more than the ps3. But by this year and next year the 360 will be smashed and slapped in the face! The ps3 looks better, is more reliable, and sounds better and as soon as it was released it did'nt have any bugs that took a year to fix like the xbox 360. I know people that have both the ps3 and the 360 and so far the 360 does get more play than the ps3. If I had both I'd even play the 360 more...until it breaks, over and over again! They are just not reliable, microsoft makes software not gaming consoles, and dont care about friendly service. Sony takes there time on making the products without defects and in the long run as in, about 1-2 more years the ps3 will be selling more games and systems by far more than the xbox 360.

xbox360 came out over a year before ps3, the xbox has had time work out all the kinks and decrease in price while ps3 is still a fairly new system

Because when somebody buys a 360, and sends it in for repairs 1 week later back and forth back and forth, that could count as 5 consoles for 1 person cuz it don't work.

Well it has a year on the ps3.. and the ps3 has had a high price until summer of 07.
