My PS3 won't recognize my portable hard drive!!!?

    You need to convert your external hard drive to FAT32. In order to do that, connect your external hard drive to your computer, right-click on external hard drive and select "Format". It should give you the options for NTFS or FAT32

The external hard drive needs to be a FAT32 format in order for the PS3 to recognize it.

Fat32 is the only format that works, but if you need more space, seperate it into 32 GIG parts
