I was an American college student. I wanted to practice my oral Chinese so I started by singing karaoke. I have a cousin in China who speaks very good English just from singing songs. His grammar is a bit wonky though but his accent is spot on and he sounds slightly like Sinatra (very good!). Then I migrated to playing Counter Strike and other team based video games with Chinese students who yelled profanities at me in Chinese. It was better than nothing and forced me to learn how to respond in real time. In between games we chatted about random things.

Either 1. Find a native speaker locally and trade English practice for Chinese practice or 2. Do the same with someone using Skype.Try advertising on Craigslist in a university city where you'd find a likely candidate.

You can sign up public websites like"conversation exchange".There are so many guys looking for partner in different language from different country.Put out the conditions of the partner you want to exchange ,then someone will send message to you.Certainly, you can search your buddy in terms of your demands.I have found my partners and they are so excellent and http://responsible.So,good luck!Just feel free to find yours. Wish to do you a favor.

The best way is to speak with a native-English speaker in person or via Skype or weChat.  Here are some suggestions on how to find a language partner for free. TAMDEN language exchange - https://www.facebook.com/groups/tandemexchange/ page http://www.totalingua.com/ http://www.gettandem.com/ http://meetup.com/ You may also watch movies and TV or memorize English songs. http://npr.com/ - Live streaming & podcasts (click "programs" at the top bar to find topics that interest you).
