Why does my ps3 keep overheating?

Can i put a fan infront of my ps3 to keep it from overheating?

    you can use a fan,yes it will help,but what i do i just make sure there is enough ventilation under,above and around my PS3,i made 4 custom size wooden blocks that was about thumb size and the height of it was also around thumb size so i just painted it black and put it underneath the PS3 on the four corners at the bottom and it works it looked like this ]-----[-PS3 []- []-wooden blocks []- []-wooden blocks ]------[-PS3 adding a fan to that and you can play 24/7 lol hope this helps.

Good air-conditioning around the console always works. Probably a fan would work too!

Yes, as long as it keeps a lot of air moving over it. In front of an air conditioner wouldn't be a bad place for a console either.
