How do you play your ipod touch on 360?

How do i get my Ipod Touch to play music on my Xbox 360?

  • When i hook it up i click on select playlist, and hard drive shows up, but my portable device (Ipod Touch) doesn't.... help....

  • Answer:

It is not supported, you can charge the iPod on the 360 but not play songs on it. I'm not sure if Microsoft did this on purpose or if it's because Apple is very strict on copyrights, regardless there isn't a way to play it, and burning a CD won't work because the 360 does not recognize burned DVDs/CDs. I use a flash drive to play music and it works fine.

The Xbox 360 doesn't play songs on your ipod, unless you burn the songs onto a CD and play the CD

that's not true (what the guys above said) you should be able to connect the ipod via usb port and the xbox should recognize your ipod as whatever you named it, then you can select the ipod and play music from it. if its not working you might need to call the support line to see if they can troubleshoot it 1-800-4my-xbox
