How can i convince my parents to let me get a hamster?

If you have pocket money, save first before you get one. Go search how much it costs for food, bedding, cage and the hamster itself. That way you will have idea how much you should save then tell them you are ready for the hamster. Keep your room clean all the time as you will need to if you want the hamster in your room. Show thwem what you know. Tell them everything you need for a hamster and how much it will cost and show them that you do know this. Make sure you tell them you will pay for EVERYTHING and maybe show them a list of what you need and how much it costs so that they know you know that you can pay for it. When i wanted to buy a cat my parents didn't let me so i said i would get all the money and buy the cat with my money and that i will take care of it all the time and when i got the money to buy a cat and found a little kitty at a pet store and had a place ready for her and some money for food the let me have a cat. Oh and i did EVERY little thing they told me for a week so they wouldn't be mad at me. I hope i was helpfull and good luck

JUST EDITED TO FIT YOUR NEEDS Though the little guys can grow only to 1/3 the size of a guinea pig, they are really friendly and there is no need to worry, with the right cage they can't get out. But if your parents just want a bigger pet, I don't really know. Ask them why they have a problem. Your parents might be afraid you will not take care of it. Mine did. You have plenty of opportunity to prove yourself. Strike a deal with your parents. I started with only a cat, which wasn't much of a help, to prove myself. A wild mouse came into my cat's food box over and over (box- to keep all the food) We eventually kept it. But, you can just help with your pets. You will clean up AND feed all the pets for a month, as the deal. And to show them your really responsible, do your chores, don't fight with anyone, and get good grades. Calculate the price of everything, and show your parent at the end that you have been very responsible and good. Show them you have the money. Appeal to them, and their love of pets. They have to love pets with 6 running around. Plus, get excited, talk to them normally them slip hints in like, 'oh, ____ is what hamsters like.' Just show you care, do all your chores and extra, be nice to your brother. Make sure the pets you have now are very well cared for. For sure, your parents will notice!
