I just noticed that my gerbil, Samson, has scabs on his nose and is sneezing. I switched from the shavings to the paper like bedding. I want to know if that can cause allergies or ...show more

I would give him a bath to clean his snout. Then I would switch to using shredded paper. It's 100% safe, cheap and they just looove playing around in it and chewing it when they get bored. T he only thing you would need to buy would be a paper shredder which only costa $20 at a normal supermarket. Good luck.

i agree with bell call the vet as soon as you can. i dont know alot about piggies but with my rats when they get sick they need care fast or they go downhill really quick.
