  My guinea pigs, especially the young ones like tunnels. They are easy to make, you just need a large cardboard tube. I used a very wide cardboard tube that I believe once contained a roll-up dart board. You have to ensure that it is big enough to fit an adult guinea pig, as sometimes guinea pigs will crawl into something that is too small for them and get stuck. My young guinea pigs love running in and out of tunnels and you can even stuff them with hay or grass to amuse the older guinea pigs. One of my guinea pig absolutely LOVES his blanket. He burrows tunnels into it and curls up nice and warm inside it. All you need is a soft, non-allergenic blanket. Just place it in your guinea pigs' cage and see what they think of it. They might not like it but they might love it. Alternatively you could make a pocket/bag out of a blanket or fleece, but in my experience guinea pigs prefer blankets because they can make their own tunnels. Another favourite amongst many guinea pigs is a paper bag. Just lie a paper bag on its side on the floor of the cage so that your guinea pigs can walk in and out of it. They like the security of the enclosed space. Sometimes guinea pigs just like a bit of variety. You could try moving their house around or buying/making a new one. They will get excited simply because it is different. I'm guessing you let your guinea pigs out in your garden daily? If not they would really, really appreciate this. This is the most exciting and fun thing ever for guinea pigs.
