How to make a good guinea pig cage big enough to comfortably hold two guinea pigs?

Check out the link below for guineapigcages.com. You can make a HUGE cage cheaper than anything you can buy in a store. And you can customize the shape to fit the area in your house.

The easy answer is to buy a big rubbermaid-type tote. It doesn't need to be really tall since guinea pigs can't jump and don't climb well. Don't use the cover - just put pine shavings in the bottom, get a water bottle holder from the pet store and add a food dish. I don't think the under-bed boxes would be tall enough - you need something at least 15-18 inches tall.

skip the cage and create a habitat. use space on your patio or in your backyard. be sure there is protection from predators and weather. chicken wire works best.
