What is the importance of wind power?

Can someone answer these wind power questions for me?

  WELL . . . First you have to be in a area WHERE the wind blows consistently because as you might suspect, "When the wind don't blow your lights don't glow!" I like the Saverous(?) type of windmill as opposed to the typical type because the Saverous(?) type is vertical instead of horizontal so can be turned by wind from any direction as opposed to the typical ones that have to be pointed into the wind. There are MANY websites that will help you design and build wind turbines but you DO need to be handy with tools. This also applies to maintenance of the machinery! Google "Instructables.Com" for a start. You can buy systems and parts on Ebay. As far as the legal stuff, most you will have to check out locally however I did hear that one guy had to take down his wind generator because of city zoning laws.
