How could have the Bhopal disaster been prevented?

How can natural disaster be prevented???

  Can you believe that at one point scientists actually covered a large area of the ocean with oil to try to stop a hurricane. We have enough pollution as it is. There are some things in testing. Like to cover the area that would be hit by the hurricane with dry soil and sand to absorb the water and slow the storm, or to drop water absorbing powder in the hurricane clouds to absorb it. But sadly most attempts involve polluting the water, and pollution is perhaps to blame for the increase in natural disasters to begin with. So in the end it would just be a vicious cycle. The one that we hopefully and probably can stop is a meteor strike. There is lots of research done in this area, and there is actually plans to take action in the 2020s when an asteroid is thought to come dangerously close to the earth. Its interesting to read about. Much like that movie "deep impact" I think it was when they were going to try to launch the asteroid away from the earth. Weird stuff. We fight fires, fires are natural. We fight flooding, that is natural also. We fight and prepare, but stopping them is new all together. But if you ask me, Mother nature is not a mother I would want to be messing with. They are natural disasters for a reason.
