Why did he ignore my friend request?

If you ignore a friend request on Facebook will the website tell that person?

  Frankly speaking if you ignore a person's request, your name will either disappear from the request page that the person used to send a request to you, or your name will re-appear on the person's request list as you have ignored it. However, most applications on Facebook can only send one request to one person per day, so most likely your name will not appear back on the request list, and the person will not know. However, the next day the person will see your name on the request list if you had ignored it, as it is a new day.
