    No, there is no way to switch back to the old design after you upgrade to the new Facebook profile. As Facebook is implementing this change gradually, sooner or later all the users will have the new profile, and there is no way back from it. No you can't switch back. There are groups on FB for people to complain about it but as the change is already underway it isn't going to change. Everyone will eventually switch over - no choice in the matter - and in about a month we'll all forget what the old one was like. Next time they change it will all happen again!

It is my understanding that once you switch to the new profile, there is no going back. Remember, it is "their" site, so I suppose you'll just have to work with the tools that they give you.
