Why can't I install Windows Live Messenger?

Help!! I couldn't install Windows Live Messenger..?

  • I downloaded the Live Messenger but I couldn't install it....everytime I try, it says "could not install"... Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

    the answer is not as complicated or 'dumb' as the est of the answers. All you have to do is search for 'ALL' files related to MSN messenger and delete them. Then try reinstalling.

go into my computer ..programs and check to see if any messenger is in there if so delete it, then try and reinstal live messenger again. It could be that only part of messenger has been installed and each time you try and download another it clashes with the old one

u need to tell more bout uur computer type firewalls etc etc but i guess u should try from a different site type in windows live messenger to google and pick different sites until one works

Maybe if you write the exact error message... Does your computer meet the system requirements? What Windows version do you have? Is your Hard Disk full? Are there too many programs running so there isn't enough memory available? I dunno, it could be lots of things. You didn't provide enough info.
