How do you upload a video to Youtube without having the quality reduced?

Not sure why it's putting them in 480p instead of 720p. Maybe your editing software is reducing it without your knowledge. Try uploading an unedited clip. If that is in 720p, then you've found your problem and you'll need to configure your settings. As for quality, YouTube has to highly compress their videos to make them easily streamable and save server space, so even if it is still in 720p, it may look a bit worse.
