On youtube, when you view your videos, does your view count as a "View" number?

OK so I view the youtube videos that I upload ALL the time. I get excited when I see that the number of views goes up,.....but I shouldnt be excited if that number is just showing all ...show more

It does count as a view. Every time the video is replayed it clocks as a view. It counts until you reach 301 views, by which case the counter stops going up if it is the same viewer watching again and again (people do this to artificially increase their view count).
