How do you restore your computer to an earlier date?

left click on start then all programs go to accessories go to systems tools click systems restore go back to an earlier date and click on it

If you have windows XP, go to the start menu and click "control panel." If you've got it switched it on to 'category view" then click on "performance and maintenence." Then on the left colum of that window you'll see an option for "system restore." It then walks you through the process. Good luck!

Your thinking about system restore. It's a windows setting found in "System Properties" in the control panel. It work work, given your brother recently made a save point, which it sounds like he didn't since your asking about it. If you cannot restore it to a recent date, I would back up all vital data and do a format of the hard drive and use a clean install of windows. Best anti-virus in the world is the winows install disk! :)
