What's the difference between eBay and Amazon?

Amazon.com is a retail company that sells items online. It also has deals with other companies so that you can purchase items from many many other stores such as target and many small companies. It has its own warehouses and stocks and stuff. It has a lot more than books and such it has media electronics apparel toys and much more. Ebay is a site where independent people or companies sell for auction. Price is not always set and there is no guarantee that you will get the item as with any auction. You also have more of a risk depending on who the seller is. The rating system works well but if something goes wrong with the transaction you could get gypped. Amazon.com has an extremely high customer satisfaction rating and what you see is what you get and there is a customer service line so you can talk to someone if there is a problem with the order and a better chance of getting the problem resolved. I have ordered from both and have never had trouble with either. There is more risk from purchasing on ebay though.

eBay sells and provides more merchant services than does Amazon.
