What are some of the innovative features of new age online forums?
-
With the growth of Quora like websites, the old forum structure of having threads with monotonous structure (chronological replies and "quote" abilities) are slowly becoming obsolete in terms of usability as well as the interface. I love the "discussion" format of the new age forums which allow people to comment on replies which gives it a more meaningful structure apart from user community members upvoting the best answers... It would be great to know about other similar such new forum features!!

Answer:
Jeff Atwood, the co-founder of Stack Exchange now works on Discourse, a forum software aimed at rethinking the way in which people discuss ideas. It has been used by a few sites now and seems to be receiving pretty good feedback. Follow the link for more detailed info. :) http://www.discourse.org/about/
