How can I get involved in racing?

How do I get involved in racing from a young age (around 15)?

  • I would love to become Involved in Jr Motrosport, I know someone who does it but im too nervous to ask how he got in, does anyone know how to get involved and what you need to do it?

    I race Jr. Dragsters, im 14, you can start at 8... its really really fun but its a little expensive, see if your local track has it. Check it out and if your really interested buy one! That's what i did.

Go cart racing is a good place to start

Karting. It is the least expensive form of racing. Check out the WKA and the IKF karting organizations online. If there is a track near you go ask questions and more questions. Karters are willing to help a future competitor get involved in the sport...more to race against. You can also do arrive and drive programs which would save the expense of getting a kart and all the other goodies needed. In that way you would have almost no upfront costs.. As they say..."how do you make $500,000 racing....start with a million and quit when you reach $500,000"

Get a Legends car. You will also find that fifteen is not that young; a lot of drivers start at around 8 years old.
