Try floral playsuits with flip-flops. Try white tank top with long, light grey cardi with the ripped jeans with slip flops, a brown small shouder bag, retro black sunglasses, black trilbey hat and a silvery long scarf wrapped around really loosley. Shorts and Cowboy shirts. Look into RIVER ISLAND and TOPSHOP and the online clothes store MODCLOTH.COM. Look at outfits worn by Fern Cotton, Kirsten Dunst etc. I had grey skinny jeans which i wore so much massive holes ripped right at the knees and i wear them with pumps and any t-shirt with a cardi, and beanie etc. Hope this all helps!

I'm going to go with like indie music? Like Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles? So why don't you try a brightly colored summer dress like a light blue and a tube top under it. So it keeps you cool and still gives you some extra color. lots of silver long necklaces. Or a plaid shirt with a tank under it with a pair of jeans. Otherwise Indie is just about creating your own with colors that express you and what you enjoy.
