Good, inexpensive rocker snowboards?

Camber vs. Rocker snowboards?

  • I've decided I need a new snowboard, one that is super flexable, preforms well in the park, and is good for butters. should I get a board with camber, or a board with rocker?

  • Answer:

Camber are generally better at jumps because they wont slip out from under you as easily, but they arent as flexible either. Rocker boards are a ton easier and more fun to butter and press. They also wont be as likely to catch an edge on a rail or box because of the lifted edges in rocker. Downside is they wont be as stable at higher speeds or on landings. They also dont have as much pop for takeoff than camber. I would go with a hybrid board where it is almost like the best of both worlds. I ride a burton sweet talker with a flex rating of 3 and hybrid camber. Camber under the bindings and rocker between them and on the tip and tail. Its a really fun board in park and works well everywhere except extreme ice. You should probably go with rocker or hybrid.
