What do I need to detune my board?

Do I need to detune my new GNU Park Pickle snowboard ( banana / rocker board )?

    Yes by all means detune your edges. Sharp edges are going to make it that much easier for you to catch an edge, that's why a few companies have made park boards without edges at all i.e. Forum Street Dweller and the Burton Dominant Slick. Banana tech really doesn't change where you slide on rails so you'll still detune the same place-right between your feet.

I would say detune it. Because even though you have a banana board, you still also have that edge. It will be alot safer to just detune it.

Yes. Magnetraction means you have curvy edges on the side of your board. It tends to get a better grip on ice and powder. It does tend to catch edges easily, and when you are going straight b lining down the mountain, your board tends to correct any turns you try to make and you just fall down. At least, thats what happened when I first bought the board. It is definitely a different feeling, and you will wash out on big kickers easier. However, I don't really notice a difference when going down rails. I have a skate banana and I have not detuned mine. I hit a 15 foot tube rail with it, factory edging, with no problem.

well unless u plan on hitting the rails do not detune ur board. u cant get it back. and u should only detune ur board for 2 reasons. one your going to hit rails and plan on board slide or you are a beginner and dont want to catch edge. but you shouldn't worry about the edge because magna traction is suppose to stop u from catching edge easy. also the banana tech also helps
