  • Women's snowboard boots: women's burton mint vs mens 32 lashed???? HELP!? I'm looking to invest in a new pair of boots this season. Right now, I ride cheap 5150's ...show more

  • Answer:

32,s are known as a wide boot and i wouldent recommend buying them if you have a narrow foot, heat molded interior or not. It sounds like that shop employee is trying to fob you off with any old boot wheather it fits your feet or not. When buying boots you ideally need to go to a store that sells a good number of different brands and try on many boots and go with the ones that fit your feet the best. The boots you buy should be a tight but comfortable fit, your toes should brush against the top of the boot, and when you lift your heel off the ground the bottom of the boot should move with your foot. Some good boots that suit people with narrow feet are Northwave, Salomon, Burton and Rome. You must make sure you try the boots on you want to buy though as its not only width of your foot that makes a difference its also foot shape because of this never buy your boots online unless you one hundred percent know what you are looking for, Good Luck.

You want to buy women specific boots. They are made for our shape of feet. You have already experianced what it is like to buy men's boots, and dealt with boots that are too wide. A good boot fit is one of the most important things to have when snowboarding. Burton has put a lot of money into developing their women's line of boots. I ride the Burton Irocs, and absolutely love them. If you can't find the exact model of boots you want to try on, try on another Burton boot with the same lining. That way you can find what size you are, and then special order the boot you want. All female boots should be narrower than the boots you're riding right now. Somethings don't matter if they are men's vs. women's. Boards and clothing are both whatever your preferences are. Men's board will generally be stiffer and wider, but some prefer that. However, bindings and boots are best to get women's specific.
