What can i use for snowboard wax?

    I would never never never ever use candle wax. ever. The factory wax that is already on your board is far far better then candle wax. There are many many things that proper wax contains that candle wax doesnot. You dont want to melt just anything into the base of your board. Giver with the factory wax till you can get some moolah aside and grab some proper wax

Wax is necessary. Spend the $10 to $15 and your investment on your board will last much longer. If you dont know where to buy, check out online shops or at the mountain shop.

Don't wax it and wait until you can afford to buy real snowboard wax. The factory coat should last you till then if it's new. And if it's not it's better to ride without wax than to screw it up using some other substance.

mmm k, i work in the Action sports section at REI and have been boarding for 7 years now. DO NOT USE SOAP! i know people who have used candle wax, and in a bind...ehh it is alright. i would never use it but it is ur choice. if your board is brand spanking new it will have a factory wax ( a wax job the company that made the board put on there) which can last you 2-3 days of riding. in all honesty i say ride the factory wax and then go out and buy a florenated snowboard wax if you want speed ( starts around $10) if you are just starting out stick with regular snowboard wax.
