Mirrored vs non-mirrored ski / snowboarding goggles? Which one is best?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that whether the goggle is mirrored or not the VLT (amount of light transmitted through the lens) is the same as the regular lens of the same color. I think it boils down to fashion/preference. I'd take the mirrored Look at the VLT of each lens and tell me what they say.
