when they say the jump is 45 feet and that just the landing part and is that from the start of the jump and the landing???

it is from the lip of the kicker to where the landing starts, the sloped part. the flat part is what you are clearing.

They measure the lenght of the jump by measuring the lip of the kicker, or the base of it. (Because its the same length away) to the knuckle.
